2 out of 5 stars Not impressed   February 27, 2008
Simply not impressed because:
1) if you don't have a pump, you have to look for one (gas stations are the best place)
2) the structure above kept on falling apart every time I put or take out my son
3) the nest felt flattened only after two days after pumping

3 out of 5 stars Poor design   February 26, 2008
The idea of a baby nest is great and this is a reasonable one especially in relation to the base. Where it is let down is the design of the frame. It is cheap plastic that has tubes that are meant to slot into each other-8 in all. Problem is that the design is poor and they keep popping out and are a pain to get back together. Galt should look at a more sturdy design as this is a big let down and having known this I would have looked at other companies.

5 out of 5 stars Great item, forget the frame!   October 6, 2007

This is a fantastic item for a slightly older baby, when they are trying to sit up by themselves it provides a good support, and the different textures and toys on the doughnut cover keep baby amused for ages! Our wee one is even using it to push herself into a standing position. Its a great comfortable, secure and fun environment for baby. A word of warning though, avoid trying to put the frame up, as has been mentioned, you'll take years off your life, and when you finally do it and sit down to dry the tears of frustration, the baby will pull it all down again. The toys that come with the frame are great though.

3 out of 5 stars Love the playnest, shame about the gym bit!   March 22, 2006

I bought this for my 3 month old daughter and after 2 hours trying to put the top part together and much cussing and swearing, I had to abandon it and wait for my husband to get home. He put the thing up but it promptly collapsed when my daughter pulled on one of the toys. It folds down very small so is useful if travelling but I would recommend just buying the playnest separately. This is a great bit of kit which helps the baby learn to sit up and provides a safe place to play until they learn to crawl

The doughnut, as this toy is known at home, is simply fantastic. I cannot recommend it strongly enough.

Children can start to use it pretty much as soon as they can hold their heads up - the ring provides a great deal of support, assisting the child in sitting up. It is covered with lots of different textures and colours - very intriguing for small children. I am not so convinced about the frame (designed to go above the ring) but that is not an important issue.

My son (6 months) loves it so much that we even took it holidays with us - it provided an enjoyable and safe place to sit.
