I bought this to connect my PS2 into my home cinema amplifer, which takes s-video inputs as well as composite inputs. I immediately noticed the improved picture quality that comes with using the s-video connection. The picture is miles sharper, with better contrast and colours. Well worth the money.
I can now switch all my video/audio sources through my home cinema amplifier, which simplifies wiring and tidies up all those cables.
Like the composite cable it replaced, it now allows me to hear my games in surround sound and some to the cars in GT3 are quite awesome as you charge through the tunnels.
