Nancy Drew, the young girl private detective, features nowadays in books, films, and games. The games, some of the best of their type, have been played recently by three generations of my family. They provide elements of adventure, detection, co-ordination skills, and problem solving. Individual choices and interests probably govern which games a user will prefer. One that has been played by various family members this year is No 15: "The Creature of Kapu Cave". The setting is Hawaii. Go for it, if you wish to spend an imaginative escape amongst lush vegetation. Anyone with an interest in botany will enjoy this one, but those who respond to the magic of story-telling and the lure of mystery will be disappointed.

Having played, and enjoyed, a few of the other Nancy Drew games in the set, I was really looking forward to the next challenge!! But,I was disappointed with this game. It was so easy, the puzzles were no challenge and were very quick to do, even in senior detective mode.The graphics were good, nice and colourful and you do get to learn new things about hawaii,shells and bugs, so it does have some positive things.There is also a new way of transporting yourself around which made a nice change.I think, in my opinion ,that this game would be well suited to someone who has not played these games before, as it is not very hard and doesn't take hours to complete.It took me all of 3 hours to finish it, and when I had, I felt like I had missed out on something.

I adored most of the game: the Hawaiian setting is beautiful and the music lovely: but it didn't really seem like a mystery game to me. There was one moment where you have to sneak through a garden without anybody seeing you- sooooo fun!
But the game is lacking of suspense in other areas, the ending was really strange.
Great game, though!
