Kenwood BM 250 November 11, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am delighted with my recent purchase, great results, even though I have used a breadmaker for many years. However, at first I could not get to grips with the buttons at all and was about to ring for support!!and then I realised that the menu button and the loaf size button were in reverse positions to that given on the diagram in the instructions.
Great value for money November 12, 2005 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
Looked a bit complicated at first, but, we were soon using it 2 or 3 times a week and turning out perfect results every time. Once we mastered the 'basic' loaves, we became more adventurous - onion bread, rolls etc. We haven't bought any bread since we got it!
Great - until it started leaking February 9, 2005 22 out of 26 found this review helpful
I had never been happier with a kitchen gadget, until my 3 month old Kenwood bread machine's bread bucket started leaking and then came apart at the welded bits where the bucket joins onto the base. Classic mistake was that I threw out the box and warranty and now need to try and work out where on earth I can get a new bucket from out here in Israel. Assuming that this is a 1 in a million occurence, and other machines won't do the same (or you'll have the sense that I did't and keep the paperwork) this is a great buy and makes wonderful bread. I managed to experiment successfully numerous times and have a long list of great recipes for when I eventually (hopefully) get that bucket replaced....

A fantastic breadmaker! Wonderfully easy to use, detailed idiot-proof cook book and makes just about anything, even jam! Couldn't ask for a better machine. 10/10.
Possibly the best breadmaker for under 100 May 19, 2003 182 out of 184 found this review helpful
I bought the Kenwood breadmaker a couple of months ago, shortly after a relative of mine bought hers and have been absolutely thrilled with the result. If you don't have a breadmaker, imagine chucking a load of ingredients into a pan when you go to bed, and then waking up to the smell of freshly cooked bread in the morning. It's saved a fortune in breakfast cereals as all my daughter wants to eat is fresh bread and butter for breakfast! I've been much happier with my kenwood than others I know have been with their bread machines. It's got a good capacity bread pan, which is quite long in shape, so you can get two days worth of sandwiches to a loaf. It'll cook a great loaf in an hour, which is faster than most, and the sweet setting is ideal for making gingerbread loaf. The only minus is that it doesn't have a yeast or nut/fruit tray to drop the ingredients in at the specific time, but this isn't absolutely necessary and will cost you quite a bit more if you buy a machine with this facility. Overall, I couldn't be happier with mine.
