4 out of 5 stars Very good value for money   February 15, 2008

I am very happy with this filter jug. The quality of the jug is very good and the design is quite nice too. It does not draw much attention to itself and is easy to clean. It is also easy to handle. Since it is quite a popular water filter jug, new filters can be found in most larger supermarkets. I would, however, recommend to buy the larger jug version, because Elemaris Cool 2,4l sounds big, but gets emptied very quickly in a 2 person household.

4 out of 5 stars Quality product   August 13, 2007

Trying to save on the bottled water, I boutht the Brita Elemaris XL. It's easy to use, heavy-duty plastic, and seems like a quality product. I've tried several other water purifiers, but this one seems to be the best for the money you pay. Not perfect, but close.

5 out of 5 stars NOT cheap and nasty!   June 27, 2007

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you Mr Marshall.... this jug is very well made of good quality plastics and not at all flimsy.
I have had my previous Brita jug for about 8 years and feel this new one is better quality....it looks very smart and all pieces fit together well and snugly.
Both the fill through lid and the pouring spout are excellent and work well. The rubber handle and feet are nice touches which make sure that this jug is not going to slip out of your hand or off your work surface!
Huge capacity which means you don't have to fill it that often although when full it can be a little heavy, but unless you're very frail or have very weak wrists this shouldn't be a problem.
The electronic memo that reminds you when to change your cartridge is a good feature...and don't worry about the battery running out in a few months as the instruction book states that it will last approx 5 years.

Great quality, great features...and at the price I paid for it, (just under 12.00) a bargain.

5 out of 5 stars What a great idea!!   May 11, 2007

I have had a Brita jug for years and decided to buy a new one. This Elemaris jug is great. It filters the water faster than my old one and it has an automatic pour through lid so I dont have to take the lid off to fill it up. It make filling it up so much easier.
I would recommend this product to anyone.

1 out of 5 stars Cheap and nasty   May 8, 2007

This new water filter is very weak, within a few days the spout lid had become detatched. The minimal effort used to reattatch resulted in the fixing point on the lid breaking instantly. The plastic of the jug is very fragile, and appears to be of a thinner gauge than previous jugs. It appears to be made to either break within a few months of purchase, or to have a production cost price of A1. [...].
