Very satisfied May 14, 2008 I have had this for about 9 months now and have saved a fortune on bottled water.
Have had no problems with any of the mechanics and yes although it makes a small noise thats to be expected as its essentially acting like a fridge.
We use this constantly and I have even started filling the ice cube bags/trays with the water - its already chilled and they taste tons better with filtered water.
Normally when you purchase an unusual kitchen appliance it usually finds itself relegated to the top of the cupboards ( im talking juicers and sandwich toasters here ) - this is in pride of place on the kitchen counter and is used all the time.
If I was to have a small whine it would be to do with the storage capacity - the amount of water that is consumed in our house we have to keep a jug nearby to top it up with tap water every day.
But its a small complaint compared to having lovely cold water on tap.
Ideal if you like ringing Breville Customer Services April 7, 2008 If it is not leaking or making too much noise it is failing to do the job it is designed for , chilling water. You need to mess around for ages to get rid of air locks so it will dispense water. My first one came to a grinding halt with a grating sound from the motor. A very bad purchase but at least it was good enough to pack in just before the warranty expired.
Worst electrical appliance in the house April 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've gone through three of these units (two silver and one white) in the past 21 months. They either eventually fail to dispense water due to some kind of air blockage and / or fail to chill the water.
Avoid at all costs.
Very Disappointed February 18, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought my first one which lasted 3 months before it started to leak. It was replaced under warranty but my second one, now 13 months old, which has just died a very noisy death. The machine was cleaned and left off for two weeks over the holidays and on our return made a terrible noise when switched back on which lasted about 30 minutes and then resumed normal service. However the water was not as cold as it had been and over the course of the last few days has not chilled at all. It was turned off yesterday and cleaned and re-started and what a noise and then died. Will not be rushing out to replace it.

Well i bought this for our new kitchen and have had this for a few months now without any problems at all. Managed to get this item at a massive discounted price and was new. Must admit theres no way i would pay the full rrp just for it to chill water.
Nice looking and works well, just want to see how long it lasts. Aslong as i get a few years out of it i'll know ive had my moneys worth!
