  Good looks, but overpriced January 29, 2008

First the good points: This is a stylish, modern looking lamp. It also gives a nicely diffused light, bright enough to read by, if you're sat nearby, but soft enough to be romantic.
Now the bad: The lamp shade is quite fiddly to fit, especially if you have large hands. This lamp is also not dimmable and the on/off switch isn't on the base, but quite a way down the power cable, making it difficult to reach.
I've since seen a very similar design of lamp in John Lewis for just 20 (I.e. 4 cheaper) and it has a touch sensitive base. I'd recommend checking it out, before you buy this...
One gentleman asked for the dimensions: It's approx 10.5in high and 3.5in wide. The power cable is about 4ft long, with the on/off switch approx 18in down the cable.
In summary: a good looking lamp, but with some design flaws, which means it won't be right for everyone. Plus you can get cheaper & better specced lamps elsewhere.

I bought this to go in the bedroom and was keen on the energy saving aspects. The assembly is a bit fiddly if you have big hands (like me!), but once together they look good and work well with an agreeable diffused light.

I bought this lamp because I needed something to go on a corner table with not much space, in time for Christmas with guests coming, and not have to bother going shopping.
Well, there are not too many lamps available on Amazon, but this looked clean and modern, and so it proved to be. Casts a very nice glow, takes up very little room, the energy saving is a bonus. It comes with the bulb included, which is great. Just plug in and use.
But the mains lead is so short. I need an extension cable just to reach from one end of a three seater to the other. A real minus point.
