An idiot could use it, I found instructions very easy to follow, got it at a good price under 9, so choose to buy 2 as it worked out better value as it came complete with 3 filters, I have decided to put one in my fridge and one on my counter top to refill kettle and for cooking etc. Great value at my time of purchase from Amazon but notice they have gone up to nearly 15.

I bought this filter as a present for a friend when it was 8.97. It came with 3 cartridges too. My friend thinks it's a brilliant piece of kit - the water tastes sweet and cool and filters very quickly. In fact, it filters so quickly he thought something was wrong as he hadn't heard a 'click' when inserting the cartridge.
He contacted Brita and they told him that you don't often hear an audible 'click' but the way to check whether the cartridge is properly in place: after inserting the cartridge, prior to filling with water, tip the filter upside down. If the cartridge stays put, you've put it in the right way. He had put the filter in the right way so thumbs up to Brita to improving their flow on the 'classic' models.
I regret not having bought one of these myself. 8.97 was a bargain. I've only given it 4 stars as the price has risen by just under 6. If it was still 8.97 I'd give it a full 5 stars (and buy one for myself!).

I bought the product on the right time around 8-9 Pounds instead of 14.95! And it came with 3 free cartridges in the box..
Why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the bad quality of instructions. However, the product is great.. Giving a smooth and sweet taste to tap water and you will save so much money like this! I used to buy bottled water everyday (you know how much it costs!) and now I just fill the filter and wait for a few minutes :) Product quality is quite good. Buy it! You will not regret.....

This is a great product at a good price. Buy it, crystal clear water without all the rubbish included. The carts are worth the asking price alone.

This is our first water filter that seems well designed and made. It fits well into the fridge door and filters the water nicely and faster than I thought it would.
However, the instructions are hopeless and as usual apply to a number of different products. They seem to assume that you are familiar with using their previous products. Thinking that the microscopic instruction on the filter cartridge packaging would be better was a bad idea - they had forgotten English in a list of about 87 other languages!
For example, the graphical instructions show the cartidge immersed in water before fitting, but the written instructions state that if you have a Maxtra system, you dont have to soak them in water as with previous cartridges. Even the instructions on filling with water are unclear!
Anyway, this is good value for money and does what it says on the tin, even if you will never be quite sure that you are using it right :)
