1 out of 5 stars Jog on   May 9, 2008
Given that so many loyal Ministry of Sound fans have been fleeing the label for so long it is alarming that we are greeted (yet again) by sunday night funster dave pearce flogging a dead horse. Never has such an inappropriate title graced an album cover. 2008?? Dave was playing all the tracks off this album on his Radio 1 show 5 years ago! There will be nothing on this compilation that someone who's even half a trance fan won't already own. Congratulations to MoS for reaching a new low.

1 out of 5 stars More cash for fat Dave to buy baseball caps   April 24, 2008

We all know the score by now... I don't even know why I'm reviewing this. I guess I just feel like insulting Dave Pearce as much as possible! How many more of these pathetic albums can he release? The fact that it is labelled '2008' is a complete insult - the bulk of this album stems from 90's euro-house/trance that even back in the day was popular only for a short while, if at all! And considering their have been, most likely, over 50 of these classics albums released over the past few years, is their anything more to try and dust off?

Note to Ministry - Just give up!! Don't you get enough money from the cocktails at the your in Elephant Street??...

5 out of 5 stars BUT.......   April 21, 2008

I have to agree with the other reviews that there are perhaps quite a few songs on this album that show face on other albums, but to find such a consistent collection of mindblowing songs on one cd is rare and well worth experiencing! It's amazing how ATB's '9pm (Till I Come)' still sounds fresh and uncomparable almost 10 years after it's been released.
At the end of the day it always comes down to opinion, and in mine, yes, I realise that many of these songs can often be found on similar cd's, but each and every one of these songs would be some of the highlights on previous albums and to find a compilation with 60 unparallelled songs is highly scarce!

1 out of 5 stars Lazy money spinner   April 13, 2008

Oh dear. Ministry of Sound used to be a heavyweight brand in dance music but they continue to sully their reputation with this unimaginative compilation. How many times does Dave Pearce think he can flog these tired old tracks to us?

Don't be fooled by the 2008 on the cover. Most of these tracks are almost a decade old and most of them were rubbish the first time around. Sash! 'Encore Une Fois?', Alice Deejay 'Better off Alone?' Ian Van Dahl??? What is Dave thinking? Probably how to spend the money (on baseball caps no doubt). It's a mystery to me how he still has his own show on international radio when he obviously owns less than 100 records which he seems to think it's ok to force on us again just as long as his studio engineer has mixed them in a different order. Most trance fans will have the tracks worth having anyway and I really can't imagine why anyone would want to buy this.

Like this? Try: Watching paint dry.

As most people have said it is most of the tracks off other albums but brilliantly mixed together and u wont the next track button with this cd. if anyone is thinking of buying this i strongly advise to get it. u will not need any other trance album.
