Disappointed at First April 5, 2008

When I first opened my delivery I was disappointed in the colour of the mug. That was not the reason I bought it, however, and although it is more of an orangey-brown than the bright yellow in the picture, I decided to keep it. When opening the lid I was again disappointed, this time in that the whole of the interior is plastic (I hoped metal, or dare I hope, glass?). Plastic tastes hot drinks and isn't good for you. THEN my disappointments were joined with the possibility that it wouldn't be leak-proof after all. The slip of paper inside warns that it is 'splash-proof' NOT leak proof! Hmm, they should state that in the description. I wanted to take it in my bag.
After reading some more customer reviews I read that it leaks at the slightest excuse. Oh dear!
Testing it with cold water when 'lock'ed it doesn't leak at all, even when upside down! Phew....
BUT, when hot tea is inside and the lock is engaged - it does leak. Initially from the spout thing then just drips from the circular top section.
What a shame!
