  Karcher have a problem with this product March 9, 2008

I am already on my second Karcher K7.85M Pressure Washer. The first just blew the fuse every time you switched it on. The second blows the water feed hose off every time the motor starts !! Appears the pump is running in reverse !!
It goes without saying that I will be returning the second unit as well !!
Looks like one to stay clear of !!!

I've just bought one of these machines (though not from Amazon). There seems to be a design fault with it. There is a pipe between the hose pipe and the pump, Karcher Part 5.029-070.0, it's a brittle plastic which has split TWICE! - I just had the machine replaced and it's happened again. This causes water to spray all over the inside of the unit. Not a good mix! Apart from that, during the 10 minutes of operation I've had from it so far, it's an awesomely powerful machine.

Worked well at first.
Although the item has large wheels, due to its hefty 25 kg weight, it still proved difficult to handle.
Dont expect to to use it with ease, not for thin arms.
Also the pressure was a little disapointing for such a large machine.
Has two detegent tanks, but the dial is flimsy and proved to be un reliable. Breaking after six uses, not good for this price machine.
Also as read in other reviews some plastic parts broke off carrier, despite unit be never lifted or treated badly.
I take care of my items, but expect them to last.
This one didnt, I have now change my pressure washer.

I wanted a top of the range pressure washer and so bought the K7.85M. It is far superior to the KB5050 which I had tried previously. The upright design is space saving and the unit has large wheels which helps mobility. I also like the integrated hose reel. It is a quality item and delivers excellent performance. My only disappointment is that it only delivers 450l/hr and not 550l/hr as stated in the specifications.

Bought this top of the range unit, expecting great things, I got the results I wanted, but, the unit amazon supply is not the same as the specification reads. It had a 2.8 kw motor and supplies only 450 litres of water/hour. Therefore its not that much more powerful than the K6.85, which is 65.00 cheaper!
Despite this, it does great things, very powerful,convenient to use, especially the tidy away high pressure hose reel,Can be in use in next to no time.Would have given it 5 stars, if it had the full water flow and power.
