 Did the job but won't be using them all the time March 15, 2008
I have thick and naturally curly hair and normally use Vidal Sasson straightners after drying my hair with an ionic hairdryer. This always gives good results with my hair being smooth, soft and shiny.
However, I thought I'd give the Wet 2 Straight straighteners a go as they seemed a quicker and easier method of getting straight hair, so I bought some the other day and tried them out. Although they dried my hair at the same time as straightening it as promised, my hair felt much drier and more brittle (I always use a really good quality heat protection spray before-hand).
I certainly won't be using them on a regular basis, but they will be good for taking on holiday as they will save having to take a hairdryer too.

i read some of the reviews about these straightners and thought o they sound really good. trust me don't buy them though i had to return mine after one use as the plate became scratched and it frazzled part of my hair off! it made my hair more frizzy than straight if ur lookin for good cheap hair straightners stick to remington straight in a stroke. Don't damage ur hair with these coz they do not work!
Unreliable waste of money March 5, 2007
My daughter has had two of these and I am about to send the second set on its way back to the manufacturer as they have stopped working after 10 months (the first set was exchanged by Amazon after only two months for the same reason).
They work (while they work) but are let down by cheap and nasty micky mouse electronics - my advice would be to shop elsewhere.

i bought these straighteners about a yr ago and at 1st was really pleased. they do work very wellbut my hair is particually thick and it usually takes over 30mins to get it compltetely straight. i had a go with my friends ghds and was amazed. i thought that all straighteners took that long but the ghds had my hair perfectly straight and shiny within 10mins!
i was thinking about buying some ghds to replace my remingtons so i asked my hairdresser for advise. she said that she had heard that remingtons were very good but that the wet 2 straight ones werent as good as the others by the same brand. she said that despite what they say, straightening hair whilst its wet is worse than doing it when its dry, ideally, hair should be bone dry and covered with a mist of heat protecting spray.
my friend used these straighteners and they worked perfectly because she has very thin hair. unortunately, they just cant cope with my thick hair and the effect doesn't last long and it still looks a bit fluffy. im going to replace them with the real thing, a pair of ghds.

i got these straightners for my birthday last year and when i used them i was SO impressed with them as they made my hair super straight with not much effort. they make your hair really shiny and soft. they haven't dried my hair out as much as any other straightner would do.
