| Editorial Reviews:
Manufacturer's Description Remington has a rich heritage within the personal care market and they pride themselves as innovators in haircare, shaving, grooming and female depilation. They are deservedly one of the number one electrical brands in the UK.
Remington has linked up with BMW Group DesignworksUSA - industrial design studios in Los Angeles, Singapore and Munich. The team of design experts is renowned for transforming the mediocre into the must-have and has, in this case, turned the everyday electric shaver into a true object of desire!
Drawing on the three main elements, the Remington Series shavers combine design & style and technical edge with comfort, closeness and convenience to produce a truly revolutionary range.
Driven by Design
| | BMW DesignworksUSA has given the new shaver line distinctive, futuristic styling introducing unique colour tones and innovative materials to an otherwise staid category. The new Remington Series establishes a sophisticated brand language that communicates precision performance and bold innovative features. Utilizing precision points, angles and asymmetry, the design language communicates quality and a clean shave with modern visual interest.
| New colour directions reflect the distinct design language of the shaver and have been selected to meet the very latest trends. White has become increasingly important in consumer electronics and creates a simple, minimal aesthetic when used on the new Series. |
 | Titanium - harder than Steel The material on the blades and cutters has been designed to meet all types of shaving need. The mid-range R330 Titanium Series has Titanium Coated Blades (TIN) which are 300% harder than steel blades and which also give a long lasting, excellent cutting performance. | | |
Comfort, Closeness & Convenience
| | It has independent floating heads and 21 cutter blades which are able to cut short stubble allowing twice a day shaving if required. | | This shaver is washable for a more hygienic, cleaner shave. High product quality is central to the new range. As well as improved comfort, closeness and convenience, there is also a better charging system and less noise and vibration in use. The cutting edge, ergonomic design of each shaver model is enhanced by tactile touch points, buttons and innovative surfaces and textures. |
Verena C. Kloos, President at BMW Group DesignworksUSA says "Our expertise in premium design and our capabilities in translating brand values into a unique design language has generated a distinct new look and feel for the Remington brand. The result is bold, innovative and edgy with an emphasis on a higher level of quality". | | |

Excellent Cheap Shaver March 31, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I brought this to replace a failed Philishave shaver as the price was cheaper than a repair. I must say I wasn't disappointed! I have been wet shaving for a few weeks and on my first use it was so much better than my old one! After preparing my skin using a pre shave powder stick from another e-tailer I had a close shave with absolutely no irritation including around the neck which always used to be an issue. A top buy highly recommended!!

Got this for Christmas. It's comfortable in the hand, quiet in operation and the charge lasts well ( but then I only shave once a week! ). There's also a hair trimmer which is good for nasal hair trimming. Good value.
Feels flimsy and is flimsy December 9, 2007 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
After 40 years of using Philips products, I was attracted to this Remington by its price and design credentials.
First of all, it has no feeling of solidity in the hand, and doesn't settle. It has the feel of a cheap children's toy and you have no confidence in holding it.
Having said that, it gave me a very close shave on the first occasion that I used it.
On the second occasion, however, one of the cutter foil assemblies popped out of the housing, leaving me trying to shave with a rotating shaft against my skin. As I lifted it away, the pathetic little plastic catch holding the head assembly in place flew off, leaving the head assembly, with its two remaining cutters, flapping about.
This really shouldn't be on sale - it's dangerous.

I bought this shaver after an unsuccessful experiment with Philips' Coolskin HQ7782 (See my review 'style but no substance' on this model for details - dated May 07, but actually written last month due to Amazon's obscure reviews system). This was one of those types that claims to give you the benefits of both wet and dry shaving and comes with its own in-built gell cartridges. In fact it gave the worst of both worlds, and eventually had to be returned for a refund due to its poor cutting performance.
Well, disillusioned with Philips, I tried this Model from Remington, attracted initially by its discounted pricetag (at 25, around a quarter of that of the Philips' hair-raising 100 plus) and by the promise of ultra-sharp titanium blades.
I was not expecting a lot for 25, but have been pleasantly surprised. It's basically just a bog-standard electric razor, but with the titanium cutters - many times harder, and therefore longer-lasting than steel. It comes with the usual cheap padded bag, a charger and cleaning brush. A trimmer pops out to care of any rebellious or wayward whiskers.
The worst thing that can be said about it is a fairly long charging time (but handy indicator light tells you when its done). Remington claim 16 hours, though I found it would charge in less - around 8 hours. This gives a good 2 weeks of shaving. Looks are so-so and build quality is better than the Philips, but still not exactly rock solid. About average for the market. There is no recycling option at the end of life, which is not unusual, but this lack of environmental care does still seem pretty backward in the 21st Century.
The best thing has to be the price, but the bottom line is that IT DOES THE JOB. If simplicity and functionality on a budget are what you want then this is the baby. The shave is not as close as a blade, but is much superior to the Philips 7782, and as good as any other electric on the market.
All in all, something not usually found these days - astonishing value and a genuine bargain. Reach for your wallet.
