 Great Rotary Remington Shaver! May 12, 2008
Let me just explain a little of my past history on my skin to start with, I have had Inflamed and bad acne for a few years now but luckily was able to have Roaccutane from my derm for 5 months and my skin is now clear and looks great. I also waited a month after before I would buy this shaver just in case it would cut me.
So far this shaver has been great I have had no problems with it, It cuts really close and is very quick and takes about 2 - 3 minutes give or take a minute or two for a great shave. I get no cuts or red marks on my face and neck. What I like about these shavers is that they can be used anytime unlike a wet shave when I have to shave in the shower or by the sink, Its a great shaver when rushing out to work in the mornings!
What attracted me to this shaver was not just the price with the saving of 95 but the specifications of the shaver itself. The charge time is great and only takes 60 min for 60 min of shaving time, which takes a lot less charging time than most other shavers at the 45 price tag on here and it also has a 5 min quick charge as well that is really handy if you forget to charge it. It also comes with Remington's latest blades that are Diamond like Carbon and a comfort select system that I keep on Comfort because of my sensitive skin.
The build quality is also great and does feel sturdy and strong and the LCD adds a great touch and is very helpful. The whole thing looks stylish and futuristic looking. It is nice to hold and shave with and its easy to get to hard to reach places. You will need to charge the battery for 24hrs on first use and allow 2-3 weeks for your skin to get used to the shaver, the former has not been a problem and like I said earlier I have had no cuts or red marks.
For his price I think it was well worth my money and has been very helpful and reliable and has not let me down yet. Also note you may need to buy a plug adapter as this shaver only comes with a stand and charging cable. It is a pity it does not come with a case as it is very nice, and I would like it to last and not get damaged.
I'd say buy it and try it!

I had previously owned a Remington razor which felt, as someone else described, like scraping sandpaper across my skin. I was expecting this to be pretty much the same. I couldn't be more wrong.
This gives about the smoothest shave - including wet shaves - I have ever had. The coverage is excellent, unlike some of the other reviews and it is easy to clean.
I thought at first that the design was a little bulky, but you quickly get used to it. The comfort control is a nice touch, but probably little more than a gimmick. I suspect the vast majority of people will find one setting and stick with it. The digital read out of charge remaining is very useful, but only time will tell how accurate it is.
I was expecting the power adapter to be a two-pin so wasn't surprised at that at all. I was surprised at how bulky it was, though, as other razors I have had haven't had anything near as big on the end of the wire.
I was also slightly surprised it didn't come with some kind of carry case. The design is sleek and polished and I don't want it to be knocked around in my various travel bags. I'll have to fashion something out of an old sock, I guess.
Overall, this is the best electric razor I've owned. It is smooth and comfortable to use, seems to hold a good charge and re-charges quickly. Drawbacks are cosmetic at best and relate to the size of the power adapter.
I'd recommend you go by this, especially at this price.

This is my first review and never felt the need to comment on a product I have purchased but I thought I should share my views in case someone was considering buying this product. My 8 yr old philips which is on its last legs is better than this.In use it felt like sandpaper and for all the discomfort it didn't give a close shave.I tried to like it but the plastics seem cheap and the build less than convincing. This product was originally 140. Even at 45 I was very disappointed. I asked for a refund as remington give a satisfaction guarantee. BMW designed maybe but its quality has nothing in common with the Bavarian Motor Works.

This razor is the worst I have ever bought. I have owned a Philishave Exclusive mains shaver for years now and only replaced it as the cutters were wearing out. Thought I would change to rechargable for conveinience this time. Takes an age to shave and in the end only half shaves you. Worst decision I ever made, waste of money.

This is brilliant. At first I thought it is too big, but on using it - this is just the right size for a good grip. I have used Braun shavers in the past. This is so much better - much closer shave and works on hair in all directions. At this price, this is a must buy. Boots is still selling at full price as in January 2008 - 140!!!
