I believe that it is not a pleasant experience to see a person coming out of shower room with cuts and bruises on his face. Unfortunately, I've had to see this daily up until I recently presented my husband with MSS.
I used to see my husband struggling with his outrageous razor to achieve smooth and close shave. How can you avoid cuts and bruises on most difficult contours of your face while working with a stiff straight tool? Huh…..
This thought took me to MSS when I was searching something meaningful for my husband as our First anniversary present.I was quite excited for the gift I got for him so when he tried MSS for the first time I enjoyed the experience the same way he did.
He just filled the Nivea fluid in his shaver and it was ready to start with. No need of brushing the face thoroughly with shaving foam and wait for the stiff beard to become soft. The movement of the MSS was amazing; it seemed like shaver was smoothly massaging his face. Nivea fluid gave the finest lubrication and pivot movements were submissively following the contours of the face. I could undoubtedly see the WOW!!! Expression on my husband's face….
The grip on shaver was so perfect and its "JUST RIGHT" shape gives full control to handle it with ease. I could well imagine how electrified was my husband with this unique gizmo that he eagerly explained me what is so unique about this shaver…..The shaver head has 2 pivot actions, not only the head itself moves and follows the contours of the face but also the 3 Flex Tracker automatically tracks the curves of the face and protect against skin irritation….
I am really happy that I had spent my time and energy to find something that can actually make a difference. What else can be a more meaningful gift than MSS as it reminds him of my care and love every morning.

Hi, bought this two weeks ago, prior to that I have been wet shaving for 35 years.
This is great and is just as good as a wet shave (and I'm not a youngster that just needs to get a Cat to lick his face). The moisturiser works well and seems to last. Not sure about the person who said he needed a new canister every week, he must be using it like shaving foam!
Two weeks on and it's still on it's first charge.
Top product that I wouldn't hesitate to recomend.

i have to say im impressed. it does the job well.
i have coarse curly hair so shaving gives me problems because i don't have a grain to go with. so i constantly get ingrowing hairs, unsightly and sore. for years i have been shaving sporadically in a futile attempt to lessen the problem. so i got one of theses taking the gamble that it would only be used once then discarded to the back of the endless rows of other junk that accumulates in the bathroom. but it suited me the shave is close but not as close as a blade. but that suits me as no more ingrowing hair. thing to note is you use it a bit like a blade razor in the fact when using it you have to some times give it a quick rinse. also you do need to use it with the balm i found it didn't glide that well when dry. as for fragile well it is and i think a fall would end it. but then again if any razor hit the floor id be very weary using it after because of the job it does and the potential making of making a mess of your face.
id suggest getting the base model since i don't see any real improvement in the other models.
so quick run down
nice grip, nice weight(not too heavy not to light)
cuts close but not as close as a blade
the balm is excellent but a light shaving gel could be used.
its fragile
not that great dry(but may be that my skin)
rubber grip stinks a bit(think thats just cos its new)
only reason why i haven't given it 5 stars is the price i think its a bit deer also the replacement heads are about 30 quid a shot.

Having constantly switched over the years form wet shaves to electric shaves I can say that this has been the best electric razor I have used. The cool lotion makes it feel like a wet shave.
Haven't tried it with oil or gel yet but will if I run out of lotion.

I have enjoyed using this shaver - the mechanism for delivering the conditioner is precise and so you can control how much is used. In my experience, it works equally well by applying a different gel directly to your face, or dry, so you are not tied into using the expensive Nivea product. It feels very much like using a wet razor, only faster and without the cuts! I had some marking on my neck, but not severe and any discomfort soon left. Of course the cut is not as close as a razor, and perhaps other shavers are better, hence the 4 *s only for now. Easy to hold and move, cleans easier than normal shaver.
What you get is a small, light plastic charging stand - looks OK with the shaver in it and doesn't take up much space. NO bag, and NO trimmer... but when you see the extra cost of a 8040 or 8060 models it is a small sacrifice (looks like they don't have a trimmer either). Yes, none of the web pages are very clear about it, but as the replacement blades are all the same it follows your skin will not notice any difference whichever model you choose!

Rather than go through other people's reviews and knock them down I'll just tell you my point of view and let you make up your own mind.
In terms of value for money I think it's easily 5 stars. I've had no problems with razor burn or lotion mixing with stubble or the heads seizing up. It's not as good as a wet shave, but what electric shaver at this price will be!?!
The shave is really close although sometimes you have to go over certain areas more than once to get it to shave as close as I'd like but that's not a problem. The lotion works really well and leaves me smelling great as well as feeling soft and smooth. One reviewer said he preferred it to wet shaving and I'd have to agree. One word of warning though. It doesn't cope too well if you leave your stubble for 3-4 days then try to shave it all off. The heads are also a little flimsy, but then you have to expect that when you're buying a product that has a head that contours to your face as much as this does. So if you're a butterfingers, be warned!
All in all I think it's a great shaver. Other reviewers have had some problems, all I can say is that I haven't had a single problem with mine and I love it. Would highly recommend. Great value for money.
