5 out of 5 stars The BEST epilator i've used - and the experts agree!   April 11, 2008

I started using epilators over a year ago. Having used the Braun brand, I was fairly impressed with them.

However, Braun epilators took several go's to actually removal all hair. I have tremendously sensitive skin and find shaving makes it sore and hair removal creams actually leaves red patches all across my skin.

After reading reviews on this epilator, and seeing it in top high street shops for 60, I was rather pleased with the price I got it for.

Regarding the actual product. I didn't expect the epilator to remove all my leg fuzz but it did (less than half an hour for both legs!). I did my bikini line with no problem at all (less painful than wax) and once I had plucked up the courage I did my underarms, which I had always just stuck to shaving. The underarms are definitely the most painful but I didn't use the cooling glove as I was impatient. The results get better with continued use - I just use it a couple of times a week before bedtime - takes only a few minutes.

I highly recommend this product - probably worth spending out on a more expensive model such as this one - the small light is a fantastic idea!

Smooth legs, much better than waxing! I will NEVER look back now, and full confidence of buying any Panasonic epilator.

All ladies who are after epilators... this is the jewel in the crown!

1 out of 5 stars patience is a virtue   March 31, 2008

Have been an avid fan of epilating and having been through two braun silk epils I figured I would try another brand, as the braun don't seem to last very long before the motor grinds to a halt and you are unable to thoroughly clean the properly.
Well although the wet approach appeals, it is unbelievably time consuming. It took at least double the normal time to do my legs and I'm not particularly hairy. The second and most important point is that this epilator tends to snap the hair instead of pulling it out from the root, therefore making it pretty pointless as you end up with stubble.
I would not recommend this product and will be inclined to look for another.

5 out of 5 stars Wet epilating is the way forward!   February 27, 2008

When I bought this epilator I couldn't find any reviews but decided to go for it anyway as it seemed to have everything and more I was looking for and I must say I'm really happy with it.

My previous epilator hurt a lot and left me red with chicken skin. When I tried the foam shaving with this one I could hardly feel it and no red spots!

Even under my arm, I thought I'd never be able to do it but with the wet epilating it hurt only a bit. Perhaps it helped that I had them waxed twice before using the epilator.

With the legs, after the wet epilating I quickly went over it dry as I noticed that it's more precise when dry, it picks up the smallest hairs.

The shaver head and the bikini/underarm heads are great additions. The shaver to trim/shave hair which is too long to epilate and the other one, smaller than the normal epilator head, for the more delicate areas to take little bits at the time and for a better angle.

I haven't used it in the shower though, I thought that would be a bit of a waste of water so just did it at the basin or in a chair with a bowl of water and the shower gel next to me to keep it wet and foamy.

It's relatively easy to clean by rinsing it under streaming water or the brush.

All in all, I glad I went for it, I think wet epilating is the way forward!
