I HAVE TO SAY I HAVE BOUGHT 3 DVD PLAYERS WHICH I WAS TOLD THAT IT PLYERD REGION 1 AND THEY DIDNT,JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I DIDNT BUY THEM FROM AMOZON THEY WERE BOUGHT FROM A STORE.AND I HAD TO RETURN THEM.
GOT TO SAY AM SO PLEASED WITH THIS DVD PLAYER JUST PLUGED IT IN AND AWAY I WENT ITS A GREAT BUY.

I received this DVD player today and once it was connected to my TV I was able to play Region 1 DVDs vith no problems. No need for set-up menus, or special codes just multi-region capable straight out of the box.

This is a great buy for a Sony DVD Player and to top it all
it IS MULTI-REGION !!!! I buy quite a lot of Region 1 DVD's
and it plays them all perfectly.
The only think I thought was strange was its size/shape - its
a standard length, but about half the size, so you could'nt
put much (if anything) on top of it.
A great buy and the cheapest multi-region player I have seen
in a while - Hightly recommended !!

Hi,
I bought this as a supplement to my DVD recorder/Freeview box as I wanted to play region 1 DVDs - it worked right out of the box. It is small, slim and quiet.
It's true I don't much like the menu or, in fact, the whole user interface - but that's just me. It's certainly no problem.
The important thing is that it works - and very well indeed.

Arrived in two days even with the basic free postage option. Multi-region, as advertised, straight out of the box. Reads divx dvd+rw s without a problem (even if it does make a bit of a noise when loading them up). So long as it's still working in a year's time I'll be well chuffed!
