4 out of 5 stars Generous 4 stars at this price   May 9, 2008
I purchased a couple of pairs for around 4 quid.
They are a comfortable in-ear fit. Not much bass, but audible.
No noise leakage to speak of, to the best of my knowledge.
They are nothing on my Sony Noise Canceling in-ear 'phones, but they're 10% of the price.
Great general purpose headphones, but look at the price - they are not for 'serious' music listening. My point of view is that they were cheap, they block out other sounds reasonably well, and they're okay for sound.

1 out of 5 stars Badly flawed design   April 28, 2008

I bought a pair of these to replace my Etymotic ER6i earphones. The Sennheisers made a very poor substitute. Straight away I noticed a much looser fit in the ear, a tendency of the rubber plugs to turn themselves 'inside out' and much poorer sound isolation.

Over the next few weeks, the treble response died completely - I suspect because the drivers are so far inside the ear that they attract earwax, despite my best efforts to keep them clean.

I've ordered a replacement pair of Etymotics. Better sound, better isolation, and much more durable. I suggest you do likewise.

2 out of 5 stars Great sound but simply don't last!   April 28, 2008
These have to be the best sounding earphones I have ever bought. Once you've found the right sized ear piece the bass is pretty amazing and much louder than other headphones I've owned. They are very comfortable and fit quite nicely without dropping out of my ear evry five minutes. However they have only lasted 3 months! The right headphone is now much quieter than than the left and they are affecting my iPod. My iPod stops every 10 seconds after I press play which is very frustrating. I have now reverted back to my old Sony ones and now have no playback problems. DON'T BUY THESE HEADPHONES!

3 out of 5 stars Good sound - but get PX200s instead for comfort & sound   April 19, 2008
I bought these CX300 in-ear headphones after reading the rave reviews on Amazon. Yes the sound is very good, but I find that in order to get the best sound they have to be shoved in your ear hard and then they are painful to wear for long periods. I have now upgraded to the PX200's where the sound is in a different style to the in-ear phones, but still very good, and I can wear these for long periods.

3 out of 5 stars worked well while they worked   March 27, 2008

The title pretty much sums it up. The sound was good the noise cancellation incredible. It does require some practice to get them in properly. However after 3 days the R earphone stopped working. Kind of puts a damper on things.
