5 out of 5 stars Window to what we see   April 8, 2008
Look at Vista this way:

If you understood human DNA genetics enough & scientists are getting there, the DNA make-up if you grew this in the lab, and scientists are getting there more and more which is true, you can create exact or if you re-arrange DNA if you fully understood this, you could create the dinosaur again.
Or a weird out of this world funny looking alien: Gremlin.

With software: the matrix to put a film name on this; if you understood and developed programming enough then you could create, not a living human with DNA but artifical human with a Code of some type and with a name to it. Maybe artifical human built into your PC, therefore call it what you like, it'll still be a computer with code.

That's how i look at Vista or OSX, more automated and Windows has really livened up MSN these days with flash technology or whatever, in reality, it's still various code of some type. At the end of the day it's 0's and 1's more or less or to exactly put it.

Programmers, Apple and Microsoft etc are searching or exploring for the next code language like Basic or HTML, but in reality all it really could be said is that any new code will still be made from 0's and 1's. But existing or new code language will be made so superior that more good software programs etc like Vista or Leopard will come about.

Already 10 years on from Windows 1998 and so many years from a very basic Amstrad CPC 464 or BBC or Commodore PC, now we have computer hardware that your average person can upgrade, renew or tweak or set in some way. Did any school ever teach you how to build a PC or to even what a motherboard or hard drive was...No. Even now do they teach this in secondary schools? Chance they do, chance they don't?

Vista built on 1's and 0's or code/language, depending on how you look at this: how can anyone say we could give this 1 star out of 5, we should give this 10 stars. And if we could see background codeing and / or language behind the scenes of this software program, then that blueprint will look very complex. This is how Vista or Leopard should be regarded, if you like.

The thing as software engineers or programmers see it, is the same as hardware engineers see it. Some hardware or many hardware devices have inbuilt chips with info. on them. It's any persons guess as to what will come about next. If you again look at things this way, if the hardware chip built onto the hardware device could be said to be more like a bone in your body, then the software code is in the background of the blueprint that makes us, the DNA/Code. And for this i ain't got a clue how these inventors, programmers, developers, Apple or Microsoft etc etc, do this sort of computer related thing. Time and perseverance.
