You other guys have no idea what your talking about. I've listened to it loads of times and it just gets better and better. Sure, it is different to the first album, but i think its just as good. They've used a lot more electric sounds for this album, but its still good, a new direction for them. And for anyone dissing the album, id like to see you write an album.
Brilliant! April 27, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This album rocks!!! I've had it on my ipod since the day it was released and it's fab, i think i prefer this slightly more than the first as every track is great and for me that is very rare to find these days. My advice is buy it cos you won't be disappointed, if you like the first single you're sure to like the rest of the album!
Gets more boring with each listen April 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This album is ok, strangely on my first listen I (thought I) instantly loved it, but the more I listen to it the more often I find myself skipping through tracks. Track 1 is perhaps the best, a number of others (maybe even the whole second half of the album) are pretty bland and are second rate versions of tracks off the first album. Plus Luke's voice begins to grate after a while. I've no doubt I'll give it more of a chance yet but I'll do that at the risk of becoming even more bored with it. Finally I can't see myself still listening to this in a year's time, whereas, thanks to 'Konk'(which is possibly the best thing about the album), I've rediscovered their first album and have found myself listening to it all over again.
Give it go April 24, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I can't believe all the people here who are knocking this album.
The first album, for me, had a few mediocre tracks towards the end but every track here, bar the last bonus track, is the catchy rock you expect from the Kooks. My personal favourites are `Love it all', Stormy weather' and `Shine on'
I haven't seen which tracks will be released as singles over the next few months but whichever ones are you can bet that they will be summer anthems.
Sure `Inside In/Inside Out' is a hard debut album to follow but give Konk a go, and not just once, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
