Ipod what May 6, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Nice design, earphones work fine. My computer wont connect the ipod and itunes doesnt work.
My advice buy an MP3 player and save money. Much easier.
Bad Sound Quality May 2, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I finally bought the 80gb iPod after my Sony MP3 player started to play up. I had to exchange it within a week as the sound was distorted even after changing my earphones and changing the EQ settings (which are rubbish as well). The second one arrived and I had exactly the same problem, so that went straight back too. I have since looked at other reviews of this iPod and found that other people have had similar problems with the sound too. I'm still looking around for another 80gb or more MP3/4 player but will definitely stay clear of Apple iPod.
Far too quiet April 29, 2008 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
I love Ipod as much as the next guy, but this Ipod 6G classic is let down by one major flaw: The EU volume restrictor.
If you are planning to use this on a bus/train then don't bother. You will not be able to hear the thing unless you purchase some *very* expensive noise cancelling headphones.
I never review products on Amazon, but felt so thoroughly dissapointed by this Ipod that I had to warn others.
If you like your music loud, take the trouble of finding a US model.
I wish I had.
Apple Ipod 80gb April 27, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is the first Ipod that i've had and am now regretting having spent money on other brands simply because they were a cheap alternative. I have no real need for the 160gb version, especially now that i have used the Ipod and seen the compression.
i bought it primarily for the music but since then i have also got into the video in a big way. Itunes may be a tad expensive but they have a good range and in any case you can put your own video/movies onto your Ipod quite easily.
The quality of the screen is excellent and the battery life is superb, especially if you're only listening to music/audiobooks. In terms of sound quality, i would hold off on upgrading headphones until you have used the ones provided because even though they're not noise cancelling, the quality is good and they're comfortable. I use it a lot when jogging and they fit comfortably. Furthermore, the Ipod itself is useful for exercise even though i was told a load of rubbish in the store about it skipping because of no anti-shock etc. i've done intensive circuit sessions with absolutely no problems. All in all, as much as i wanted to hate it because it stifles competition, there is a reason why it outsells everything else and that is because it's the best on the market by a long way.
